Happiness is a momentary balance. When everything in our life is going smoothly and is well balanced we have happiness. When we are faced with conflicts and challenges, we are unhappy. We cannot find permanent happiness in this world because of the dual nature of this world. Happiness and sadness must co-exist. Sometimes we are happy, sometimes we are not. Life is a cycle. It is an ongoing process. Like there is a day and night, so there will always be happiness and sadness, co-existing together. So remember, if you are not happy today, the law of nature suggest, it will end soon. Have patience in the meantime. You can endure pain through love. When you are sad or feeling pain, spend time with those who needs more love than you do. For example, go to the orphanage home or the old folks home, and spend time there. Give your time to make them happy. When you give happiness to others like this, happiness is bound to come back to you. This is the universal law of life. What you give you get back. So start giving love and happiness today for it to come back to you.

There are many definitions of happiness. Sometimes said to be the state of well-being characterized by emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy. Whatever the definition is, we all want to be happy. It is one of the greatest thirst of human beings. Usually, something is making us happy. When this something is taken away from us, we are unhappy or sad. Ask yourself, what makes you happy? What if that thing is suddenly taken away from you? How will you feel? Can you still be happy? Let’s use an analogy to understand further that point. Let’s say you love someone so much. Suddenly this person passes away. Suddenly all the love that you have been receiving has gone away. Would you still be happy? If you answered no, it means you are dependent to that person or thing to be happy. It proves that happiness through dependency cannot be lasting and yet, when we are independent, it is so hard to be happy too because we find ourself to be lonely. If happiness cannot be found through depending to someone or something as well as when we are independent of dependency, why at all should we seek happiness? We [...]

Someone asked me again today for a life advice on why we people are unhappy with their life. I have written here and here about it. Anyway, it is true there are so many among us who are unhappy in life. If asked, why they are unhappy? Often, the answer given would be because we lack of something and if we could just have that one thing in life, we would be happy. It is true, whatever we are seeking to have can give us happiness, yet it is only temporary. Yes, it is all temporal. What if suddenly the thing is taken away from us? Can we still be happy since we are depending on that particular thing for happiness? Quite frankly, nothing down here can give us permanent happiness because we would not know when we will loose them. In oder to have a lasting happiness, we need to find something that would not leave us no matter what happens and the only thing I know of which can do just that, is God’s love. Yes, it is the only substance that is always with us, no matter what happens around us. When we know how to recognize [...]
