How To Look Younger And Healthier

I think this is one of the hottest tips I am going to give anyone. How to look younger despite your age. I am 33, but when I ask someone to guess my age, they usually say, I am around twenty four or twenty five. That’s like seven years different compared to my actual age. Some of us do look young naturally but is there a way to maintain looking youthful?

When I look back at myself and some of the things I did when I was even younger in my teen years, I could only laugh back but hey, it paid well. I look healthier and youthful. One of the most common problem for men and women is having pimples and in severe cases, acne. While I cannot give you a proper advice on how to clear your acne, I can give you advice on how to have a good face without pimples.

The only time I remember having pimples was while I were in my secondary schools. I guess it was natural for that age. I was 14 then. I didn’t know how to clear it. Once I went back to my hometown and my grandma actually passed this tips to me. They are natural remedies. There are two things to do if you want your face look shiny, fairer and free from pimples.

First, you need to clean your face with warm water everyday and not with cold water but before I do that, I will take a piece of lime and extract it’s juice and apply it on my whole face. Will let it dry for about 10 to 20 minutes and wash it away with warm water. It actually helped me to make my face without pimples. I did it only for 2 weeks. Warning, some of you maybe allergic to lime because it contains high level of citric acid. There have been reports of lime cause dermatological problem. It might not work for you. I am just sharing what worked for me.

Second, if you want to make your face look brighter, take handful of mung beans, grind it in the blender, but you need to add a little bit of water to make the powder of mung beans wet. Apply this wet grind mung beans all over your face and let it dry for about 20 minutes. Just about after a minute you will feel your face as if being pasted with some kind of glue. It’s normal. It will feel sticky, for some maybe itchy. After twenty minute wash it away with warm water. Use clean towel to wipe your face and you are done.

The other things I did was controlling my foods. My daily diet consist of vegetarian foods. I do take meats but only on occasions. I love carrot. I gorged myself with carrots. I mean I just ate them like that. I still do sometimes when I get the chance. I avoided peanuts and nuts of all kind. I also avoided chocolates. Not for the face, but because chocolates have higher fat and sugar content. I avoided it to keep my body look thiner.

Later the age of 16 (sixteen). I was initiated into the art of Kundalini yoga. So every night I will meditate and used to sleep very early. Even till to this date, I am still practicing meditation. You should try it sometime. It’s good for your mind. Having a clear perception free from worries plays a vital role in keeping our body healthy.

Alright, so those are some of things I did and still doing now. Of all the above, one thing is for sure, being a vegetarian really does a lot in making you look younger. I want you to know, these are the things that have worked for me. I might not work for you, but if you want to try it please go ahead. After all, you will never know if you don’t try it.


1. Have a balanced diet. Include a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet, as these contain antioxidants that not only contribute to good skin, but also to a healthy body!

2. Get enough sleep. Eight hours of sleep a day can do wonders for your complexion.

3. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. It not only hydrates your skin, it also flushes out harmful toxins in your body!

4. Exercise regularly! It doesn’t have to be an intensive workout! Even brisk walking or climbing up and down the stairs for 20-30 minutes can improve your blood circulation and rid your body of impurities as you sweat it out!

5. Adopt a cleansing routine! Cleanse, tone and moisturize your face twice a day!

6. Use suitable skin care products! If you start getting a breakout after using certain products, stop immediately!
