I love writing. I wouldn’t say I am very good in writing, I just love it. The way I write is simple and it’s a straight forward technique known as free writing which is good for short article writing. Wise Life Advice is actually an evolution of my attempt to expose my writings Online for others to read. Yet, I discovered that my real talent isn’t really in writing but in teaching. It doesn’t necessarily mean teaching in school. I can teach through websites or blogs too. Hence, Wise Life Advice. Well, we all have one or more talent in us and when we discover it and know how to capitalize it, we can achieve a lot of things in life. Discovering your talents isn’t that difficult if you can ask yourself the right question. What are you good at? Writing? Fishing? Painting? Talking? Recommending Products? Yes, some people are good in recommending products. They just know where and how to get the best products or services in town. That’s a talent too. You can use it to make money, for example you can set up a referral service. You can do it Online or Offline.
Now, think about the question for awhile and make a list of all the things you are good at and out of this choose the thing you love doing most. That’s it. Now all you need to do is find ways to capitalize it. Once you know what you are good at, think about how it can he helpful or useful for others. If you want to make money out of your skills or talents you need to provide a value that people want. Now, ask yourself, how can you turn this talent of yours into a value that people want?
Here are some examples. Let say you are person who enjoys loves dancing. In this case, you can come up with a service for performance at perhaps, wedding or a private party or maybe just like me, you love writing and if you are good at it, you can offer ghost writings service for web or blog owners and for the ladies. Are you good at cooking? How about doing your own home cooked food delivery service? You see, there are many things you can do with you talents if you can just sit down and think about it. Often, people seldom capitalize on their skills and talents.
Ask your family members, friends or your neighbors. Ask them to tell you what they think you are good at. Ask them to give their honest opinion. Don’t be surprised if you find them pointing something you didn’t think was a skill or talent. Now, review that opinion against the one you wrote down on your list. Is there any similarities. Can you identify your talents and skills now? Once you found your talents, the next thing to do is drawing out a action plan. How are you going to use it? As for myself, I came up with the idea of blogging to expose my love for writing and teaching. Think about what you can do with your talents. You will find a way.
Some of you may have identified multiple talents or skills. How about combining them? Yes, you can combine your talents and skills and create a service that is of value to someone. What I am trying to tell in this article is simple. You can use your inherent talents to improve the quality of your life. Just think out of the box. Be different. Be someone. There is nothing to fear. In fact, if you know, it is only fear that is holding anyone from achieving their dreams. Use your talents now and achieve your dreams. If you don’t try, you will never know. Even if your attempt creates a blunder, remember, there will always be something to learn. With that learning, you can have a better shot next time.
