The deeper I go within myself and understand better this spiritual path, the more I am becoming silent. It is not because I have nothing to say, but because I understand everything is existing at its rightful place. People who go within themselves and understand why things are the way they are, will have less complains. …
If someone ask me what is the meaning of life, I would say there is no specific meaning to it accept for what we give it. This opinion or concept we carry about life is usually based on our individual life experience. As we go and experience and discover more and more the principles of life, accordingly our definitions will change. Thus, the definition will only be meaningful to us because others are experiencing life differently in their own unique ways. Two person or more may have a similar belief about life or may not. …
Where we are in our life today is the direct result of our past decisions. For example, it was you who decided to visit this blog and here you are, reading this article. Had you decided not to visit, you would be doing something else now. Think about it for a moment.
Whatever situation you have created to yourself doesn’t matter anymore because you can’t change the past. What is important is where you want to go or who you want to be from now onward. This takes making up your mind on what you want. …

We all have fears. Some of these fears are real, but often, they are simply imagined fears that have no real basis. The problem is that often unreal fears stop us from doing the things we really want to do.
Here an example. The average taxpayer is consumed with the fear of an audit. It’s a fear that rules much of our lives, especially around tax time. But do you know your real chance of being audited are only about 9 out of 1000. So, why do we worry so about being audited? Probably because of an even bigger fear – the fear of being audited and the government finding out that we have somehow cheated and we’ll end up in jail. Well, the chances of that happening to you is about 1.6 out of 100,000. …
It never fails. Every time I worry about doing some unpleasant task like confronting someone who owes me money, or firing an employee who has been with me for long time, I realize that thinking about what’s going to happen is always worse than the actual event itself. I usually worry about the confrontation so much that my stomach will ache, and then, when I finally make the call or have the meeting, it’s never as bad as I expected. So now I try to get any potentially stressful situation over as fast as possible. Procrastinating only makes things worse, I know that now. The sooner I get it over with, the better I’ll feel, and the actual event it never as bad as I imagine it will be.
Now my stomach doesn’t hurt when I’ve got bad news to deliver or a confrontation to face. I visualize a positive outcome – what it will be like afterward. People appreciate the honesty and directness of such an approach, and so do I.
I used to think that life was something like a fancy restaurant, where you wait politely until someone comes to take you order. I don’t see it that way anymore, I now know life is more like a smorgasbord or an all you can eat salad bar. You can’t wait for opportunities to fall into your lap, you have to get up from the table and grab them yourself. No one is going to wait on you anymore. They’re all too busy tending to their own needs. So speak up, get up, and take what you need to make life worthwhile for you.
Your life is the sum result of all the choices you make, both consciously and unconsciously. If you can control the process of choosing, you can take control of all aspects of your life. You can find the freedom that comes from being in charge of yourself. – Robert Foster Bennett
Imagine you asked a company for their brochure and they gave you a list of projects they have done in the past, and that’s it. Odds are you would not end up using that company – because they are not talking about what they can do for you.
Why should your resume be and different? Writing your resume should not be some random annoying chore – you are creating your promotional material.
Where a brochure is meant to get you to call the company, a resume is just one way of getting called in for an interview. …
As a kid I had a lot of heroes: Superman, Batman, Mickey Mantle, and more. But as I grew older, they stopped serving as role models as I became aware of the more human qualities of each hero. Batman and Superman turned out be nothing more than ink, and Mickey Mantle became a full blown alcoholic. It didn’t matter much to me, I long ago stopped reading comic books and was never good at baseball anyway. But I had trouble finding heroes to replace them.
The media always jumps on the shortcomings of anyone who has the remotest chance of becoming one of our heroes. Dig up the dirt, editors tell their reporters, find the skeletons. Maybe none of us can accept that nobody’s perfect. But who ever said heroes are perfect? Every hero, in myth or in real life, has had faults – it’s what has always made them human and someone that we were able to identify with. From Hercules to Dr. Martin Luther King, this is the real lesson of heroes. They teach us that we don’t need to be perfect to demonstrate valor, stamina, and courage in the face of seemingly unbeatable odds. …
Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.
I believe so that I may understand.
Faith perceives truth sooner than experience can.
When you’re weary, feeling small, when tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all; I’m on your side. Oh! when times get rough and friends just can’t be found, like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down.
I believe that for every drop of rain that falls a flower grows.
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night a candle glows.
I believe that for everyone that goes astray somebody cares and knows the way
Let us have faith that right makes might; and in that faith, let us, to the end, dare to do our duty as we understand it.
The limits of faith are the mental barriers or doubts of one’s own making.
Faith is love taking the form of aspiration.
Faith builds a bridge across the gulf of death, to break the shock blind nature cannot shun, and lands Thought smoothly on the further shore.
The rainbow of God’s promises is always above the trials and storms of life.
It is the heart that senses God, and not the reason. That is what faith is, God perceptible to the heart and not to reason.
When the way seems long
And the day is dark,
And our hearts are heavy
With worry and care
And we are lost
In the depths of despair….
That is the time
When Faith alone
Can lead us out of
“The dark unknown,”
For Faith to believe
When the way is rough
To pull us through
And bring us
Strength and comfort, too.
For all we really ever need
Is, “Do you believe?”
For if you do,
” Ye shall receive!”
Leave this chanting and singing and telling of beads! Whom dost thou worship in this lonely dark corner of a temple with doors all shut? Open thine eyes and see thy God is not before thee!
He is there where the tiller is tilling the hard ground and where the partmaker is breaking stones. He is with them in sun and in shower, and his garment is covered with dust. Put off thy holy mantle and even like him come down on the dusty soil!
Deliverance? Where is this deliverance to be found? Our master himself has joyfully taken upon him the bonds of creation; he is bound with us all forever.
Come out of thy meditations and leave aside thy flowers and incense! What harm is there if thy clothes become tattered and stained? Meet him and stand by him in toil and in the sweat of thy brow.
Without faith, we are as stained glass windows in the dark.
Through this dark and stormy night
Faith beholds a feeble light
Up the blackness streaking;
Knowing Gods’s own time is best,
In a patient hope I rest
For the full day-breaking!
The higher into space man goes
The more he learns, the less he knows
For the wonderment of God abounds
And all his handiwork surrounds.
The endless mystery of the skies
And all that silently beyond them lies
For Faith is a Foe to Science…
They’re linked in very close alliance
And as men seek and search to find
The answer to the Finite Mind
They also find that more and more
Discovery is an open Door
To Faith in the Almighty one…
Who made the sky and sea and sun.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
These struggling tides of life that seem in aimless wayward course to tend, are eddies of the mighty stream that rolls to its appointed end.
If you’re headed in the wrong direction, God allows U-turns.
The dreams we dream can be fulfilled,
If when we dream
We also build,
And we can build the dreams we choose,
The tools we use…
If we would build to greater heights.
We have to raise
Our hopes and sights,
When hopes and sights are only small,
We can’t build lofty,
High and tall!
Thoughts must be high, if we’d build high,
But faith has wings,
So why not fly?
Life is fragile – handle with prayer.
Fear not tomorrow, God is already there.
No ray of sunlight is ever lost, but the green which it wakes into existence needs time to sprout, and it is not always granted to the sower to live to see the harvest. All works that is worth anything is done in faith.
Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact.
Peace in the storm,
Calm in the effort,
Joy in the surrender,
A luminous Faith,
And you will become aware of the Lord’s constant presence.
Be grateful for all ordeals, they are the shortest way to the Divine.
All sincere prayers are granted, every call is answered.
Faith is to believe what we do not see; and the reward of this faith is to see what we believe.
No soul is desolate as long as there is a human being for whom it can feel trust and reverence.
It is by faith that poetry,as well as devotion, soars above this dull earth; that imagination breaks through its clouds, breathes a purer air, and lives in a softer light.
All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
If you pray, you will believe, if you believe you will love, and if you love, you will serve.
He who has faith has everything, and he who lacks faith lacks everything. It is faith in the name of the Lord that works wonders; faith is life and doubt is death.
Every dark night is followed by dawn. Tides are the principles of nature, but a man with faith never feels perturbed when faced with ups and downs of life, and one who is faithless, becomes hapless and helpless. One who has full faith in his chosen path treads forwards his destination jumping over the trenches, pits and thorns and ultimately reaches his goal triumphantly.
What a wonderful God we have…who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials. And why does He do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us.
Doubters invert the metaphor and insist that they need faith as big as a mountain in order to move a mustard seed.
Serious doubt is confirmation of faith. It indicates the seriousness of the concern, its unconditional character.
I read somewhere that the future has two handles. We can take hold of tomorrow by the handle of anxiety or by the handle of faith, and if you grasp Tomorrow with Faith, you know the handle won’t fall off.
Life of my life, I shall ever try to keep my body pure, knowing that thy living touch is upon all my limbs.
I shall ever try to keep all untruths out from my thoughts, knowing that thou art that truth which has kindle the light of reason in my mind.
I shall every try to drive all evils away from my heart and keep my love in flower, knowing that thou hast thy seat in the inmost shrine of my heart.
And it shall be my endeavour to reveal thee in my actions, knowing it is thy power gives me strength to act.
When we believe that nothing comes to us expect through our heavenly Father, then suffering begins to make a little sense to us – not much, I admit, but a little bit, and that’s all God needs to work in our lives, just a mustard seed of faith.
Security comes from knowing that God never changes.
Just as there comes a warm sunbeam into every cottage window, so comes a love – born of God’s care for every separate need.
Are you dismayed, lonely, afraid, thinking yourself forsaken? God is your stay, Trust Him and pray; new hope He will awaken!
When we see not our way through some trial or difficulty, we have only to look to God, and to wait in patience, and in due time His light will come and guide us.
You call for faith: I show you doubt, to prove that faith exists. The more of doubt, the stronger faith, I say, If faith o’er comes doubt.
If I love each budding tree, each flower petal, leaf, and stem, then how much more should I revere the God who has created them.
The lightning and thunder,
They go and they come,
But the stars and the stillness are always at home.
Be assured when you see a tear on a cheek, a heart is touched.
In the depths of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.
Troubles are often the tools by which God fashions us for better things.
Without faith a man can do nothing, with it all things are possible.
I know not what the future holds, but I know who holds the future.
You’re someone who knows this secret that’s more precious than silver or gold – the love and the joy that you give away will come back to you many fold!
At last, when I woke from my slumber and opened my eyes, I saw thee standing by me, flooding my sleep with thy smile. How I had feared that the path was long and wearisome and the struggle to reach thee was hard!
In the night of weariness let me give myself up to sleep without struggle, resting my trust upon thee.
These my lamps are blown out at every little puff of wind, and trying to light them I forget…But I shall be wise this time and wait in the dark…and whenever it is thy pleasure, my lord, come silently and take thy seat here.
I thought that my voyage had come to its end at the last limit of my power, – that the path before me was closed, that provisions were exhausted and the time come to take shelter in a silent obscurity.
But I find that they thy will knows no end in me. And when old words die out on the tongue, new melodies break forth from the heart…
And if you would know God, be not therefore a solver of riddles.
Rather look about you and you shall see Him playing with your children…you shall see Him walking in the cloud…and smiling in flowers…
In many an idle day have I grieved over lost time. But it is never lost, my Lord. Thou has taken every moment of my life in thine own hands. Hidden in the heart of things thou art nourishing seeds into sprouts, buds into blossoms, and ripening flowers into fruitfulness.
Impossible dreams are impossible expert for a man of faith.
Take away your hands and silently put up with your defeat, my heart, and think it your good fortune to sit perfectly still where you are placed.
O Fool, to try to carry thyself upon thy own shoulders!
O beggar, to come to beg at thy own door!
Leave all thy burdens on his hands who can bear all…
Infinite is thy mansion, my lord…. I have come to the brink of eternity from which nothing can vanish – no happiness… Oh, dip my emptied life that ocean, plunge it into the deepest fullness.
The morning will surely come, the darkness will vanish, and thy voice pour down in golden streams breaking through the sky.
You are the One we worship,
You are the One we ask for help,
Show us the straight path.
We arrive upon this earth alone, we depart alone; this time called life was meant to share.
Prayer is when you talk to God; meditation is when you listen to God.
Prayer does not change God, but changes him who prays.
How easy it is to say a vague “help me to be a better person.” How hard to pray for the specific sin we have committed!
